Unfortunately homophobic really isn't used in context very well, but there's definitely a prejudice of sorts some harbor about such relationships daring to exist in games, or be suggested. A fixation with it only when people do same sex 'shipping' definitely is getting there though. It's illogical for something that does not concern you to annoy you, and it makes no sense to be more annoyed by a same sex pairing in comparison to the endless stream of heterosexual "shippings." That said I agree it's not automatically homophobic to be annoyed by it. Oh please people ship everyone in everything.
